Annual Melanoma Wednesday
May 6, 2020
10 AM- 2 PM
Pennsylvania State Capitol, East Wing Rotunda
Dermatologists will offer free skin cancer screenings to legislators, state workers, and members of the community. This event will not only benefit those being screened but will also give the Academy the opportunity to draw media attention to help educate the public about the importance of early detection and prevention of skin cancer.
Melanoma Wednesday is an effort to promote the dermatologist’s role in diagnosing skin cancer and the Academy’s commitment to reducing the incidence of and mortality from skin cancer. Your role would be to screen visitors for skin cancer and answer questions about both sun and indoor tanning damage and protection. Additionally, if you are interested in joining PAD leaders in meetings with legislators, please let us know.
