PAD Sun Defense Essay Contest Entry Form
The Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery (PAD) is proud to announce the creation of its inaugural Sun Defense Essay Contest. This contest will help teach Pennsylvania elementary school students about the importance of sun safety while providing schools with an opportunity to win a free Apollo Sunguard shade structure for your playground. Each year, the contest will rotate between the western, central and eastern regions of the state. This year’s contest is targeted to elementary schools in the western region (see eligible schools list below).
How it works: Each student should write an essay, 500 words or less, about the reasons people should protect themselves from the sun. Each school selects “one” winner from its student body to represent the school in the contest. The winning essay must be submitted to the PAD for consideration by January 31, 2012. The Academy will then select one winner in March 2012.
